Firefly Songling Volunteer
Firefly Songling Volunteer is a brand identity created for a volunteer service organization in Songling Sub-district, Wujiang, Suzhou, China. The logo is based on the image of a firefly with open wings, a reference to the local ecological environment and to volunteers who give light through quiet effort. The simple and modern form is intended to appeal to younger people. The identity is applied through professional printing, embroidery and hot stamping. The design gives the volunteer team a distinct image within a field where many groups use similar symbols.
Firefly Songling Volunteer Branding by Suzhou SoFeng Design Co.,Ltd. was recognized as an innovative example of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Firefly Songling Volunteer Branding won the Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2021. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award which honors exceptional design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
