Rename
Rename is a design exhibition that questions the idea of standards and measurement. The exhibition uses a visual language taken from measuring tools. Illustration, collage and photography are combined, and four basic shapes from a triangle set are drawn and assembled into butterfly forms. A long roll of paper works like a tape measure, so visitors can choose or make a collage section that matches their own character and take it away in a file bag. Transparent PVC cloth and roll paper are used for the display.
Rename Design Exhibition by Xue Jiang has been featured as a grand representation of communication design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Rename Design Exhibition earned the Iron A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2021. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program that honors superior design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
